"a. PD was really sweet. Everyone was super nice and seemed down to earth. b. Erie is a great place to live. Not far. Cute little town. c. Not big on simulations because they have the EM specialty month where you do half day anesthesia and half day procedures. There are three away rotations but they provide housing for all of them. Get paid the Pittsburgh salary so over compensated. Shifts are 10 hours. Use cadaver lab often. Work one to one with the attending. Level II trauma center. Only reason it is not a level 1 is the fact that there are no surgical residents. Not competing with IM. Un-opposed. Work at CHOP. Take 6 per year. Did an activity at the beginning of the interview. d. 7/10 "

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
