The residents' home base is at the Marshall Psychiatry Departmental offices and Outpatient clinic, located on 20th St. in downtown Huntington, minutes away from the other clinical sites. There, residents will have their didactics, clinical, research and educational space, as well as a large resident lounge. At this location is where the Program Coordinator, Missy Browning, and the Program Director and Chair, Dr. Suzanne Holroyd, and other faculty, have their offices. Grand Rounds, journal clubs, seminars, meetings and conferences take place at this location.

Residents undertake progressive autonomy and responsibility for patient care decision-making Technical support services perform nearly all ancillary procedures which allows the resident to spend more time at the patients' bedside.
"1 hour meet and greet with residents the night before. They all seem genuinely happy. IV day: 3 -15 min IVs with PD, APD, and psych chair. 3- 30 min IVs with 2 residents and 1 faculty member/attending. All the IVs went smoothly, felt I was confident and like people I could work with. A big pro is they value psychotherapy here and do more in this arena than other residency programs it seems and if you have interest in it you can do even more. Many residents stay on after graduation. Overall great feel for the program and would love to train here. "

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
