"This year all interviews were conducted via Zoom. They sent a nice "Interview Survival Kit" by mail with a lot of goodies inside. I met with the coordinator and she was very friendly and welcoming. I was then sent into a breakout room and was greeted by the Dr. Cherry the PD, Dr. McLaughlin, and Dr. Zavala. This was the first time I had a program ask me why I attended a Caribbean school and how the clinical training prepared me. The way the questions were worded definitely made me feel as if they are elitist. Looking at the staff they all attended WVU. Few of their residents are IMG. Overall, the program operates at 2 critical access hospitals with low census. To get NICU experience they send you to Morgantown for 2 months, which is about 2 hours away. It is unopposed and the residents claim they practically run the hospitals. The program appears to prefer graduates of WVU. "
