"I was invited for an in-person interview as part of this program's inaugural residency class. I had a wonderful dinner with other applicants and PD, the residency coordinator, physician liaison, and faculty members the night before my interview. On the day of the interview, we met with the hospital's CEO, who described how excited he was about starting an IM residency program at Conway Regional. He also mentioned the improvements that have been made over the years to improve physician satisfaction. I can tell you for a fact that it wasn't lip service. The resident lounge was one of the most well-equipped I had ever seen. Every fridge in a nurse/physician lounge was stocked with a wide variety of lavish drinks/snacks that were replenished upon request. At first, I was skeptical and figured this might have been done before the interview to impress applicants. However, after speaking with multiple nurses after we had finished for the day, the changes were real and permanent. After the hospital tour and lunch, the physician liaison took half of us on a city tour while the other half conducted interviews. The interviews were pretty straightforward: Met with PD, assistant PD, and faculty member. I was asked one ethics question during my interview, but everything else was typical. It's hard to judge a new program, but I left feeling that the PD honestly did care about residents achieving whatever goals they set for themselves. Other perks include being in a great town rich in Southern hospitality and friendly faculty at the program. I'd recommend this program to anyone interested in a career in primary care. "

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
