The Prime West Consortium Internal Medicine Residency Program is a three-year program sponsored by the Prime West Consortium, a group of hospitals in California affiliated with the California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM). The program was accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in 2023 and welcomed its first cohort of residents in July 2023.

"Virtual interview. Initially with the program coordinator who gives an intro. 3 20minute interviews with the PD, APD and director. They are a new program with only the first batch of PGY2 AND PGY1. Incoming class of 2024-2027 will complete all 3 years of residents. Interview with the PD was very haphazard and it felt like he had not seen my application at all before and was scrambling through papers to find my application. Asked general questions and he could not be comprehended at times. APD and director were much more organized and wanted to get to know you. Meet and greet with residents after all candiates completed their interviews."

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
