Notable points: lots of research funding, residents have step 2 CK score of 267 on average, on-site daycare, high autonomy for residents (has advantages and disadvantages). 1-hour morning report where they ask medical questions (interactive discussion about a clinical case), asked us to introduce ourselves briefly and mention our interests inside and outside medicine. 1-hour program introduction + speech from program director. 1-hour group Q&A with residents including chief resident. 30-minute interview with either PD or APD. I talked to the APD Dr. Elliot. He asked me why they should choose me for the residency program, about my research experience, about my experience teaching medical students, about winter in Chicago. He spent a lot of time trying to sell me on the advantages of the program."
