"Interviews were via BlueJeans (a platform similar to Zoom, you have to install the app). The day started with a presentation from the PD and PC, with all the applicants that were going to interview that day, they interviewed 6 applicants per day. Then each applicant moved to a different interview room to have the individual interviews. There were 6 individual interviews for each applicant, in my case 1 with chief resident, 1 with associate PD, 1 with PD and 3 doctors from the faculty. We were supposed to meet with the Chairman too, but a few days before the interview the PC emailed me saying the Chairman would not be able to make it and instead they assigned me another faculty. All the attendings were super nice, the individual interviews were 20 minute each with a 10 minute break between each one, and went smoothly. They mostly asked about yourself, why your interest in pathology and the program, no behavioral questions. Afterwards, all the interviewees joined a common call for a resident meet and greet that lasted about 45 min/1 hour. And then we had a 30 min closing presentation from the PD to conclude. The whole experience lasted around 6 hours total, it seems like a good program, you complete your training in different hospitals and it is very subspecialized in my opinion, attendings have different backgrounds and subspecialties so that definitely helps. Never been to Louisville but from what I learned: Louisville is a medium-sized city, I live in Washington DC and the associate PD compared Louisville to Virginia (for me to get an idea). There are lots of restaurants and good food there according to the staff and google. It was my first interview during this season so still not sure how high I will rank this program."

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
