Pediatric Residency Program here at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. Our program is part of a vibrant and growing health system in Louisiana, and deeply rooted in our mission to serve those most in need. Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital in Baton Rouge is now a freestanding campus that serves children across the Gulf South. Our familial atmosphere is weaved into all that we do – provider wellness, individualized mentorship, quality care, and more. We create an exciting learning environment through diverse didactic curricula, simulation and procedural skills, and the development of scholarly projects and quality improvement activities. As a faith-based organization, we are constantly seeking opportunities to better serve our learners, our faculty, and our patients. Our engagement with the communities in which we live and serve is at the heart of our clinical learning environment and form the foundation of our educational and advocacy outreach programs.

The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
