"The majority of the interviewers were nice, Dr. Visco(very deliberate and cerebral so he plans things out but can get very busy) really looked at my application and asked what it is that I am interested in so that he could tailor my schedule to my interests. Dr. Sood was cool and really mentions how much spine and sports exposure we get at NYP compared to other programs. She says that there is an extensive alumni network to help mentor me if I want to do private practice. There is a global health track but still limited with countries. There is no limit to the diversity of sports we can cover (Soccer, dance, MMA, Esports etc..). This is a program that requires you to seek out opportunities, they are not just given to you. It is also a pretty demanding program but the PGY2 schedule is mixed inpt and otpt so that you get a very strong foundation in MSK and neuro exam. All in all I really liked Dr. Visco and Dr. Sood(lets you do stuff spine procedures) who are all sports med and spine. The program helps you become competitive for these fellowships but also prepares you for general rehab and cancer rehab. Living does not seem too bad (most likely going to live in a studio) and the salary is the highest in the NY PM&R programs. I would definitely consider ranking them either mid or top"

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
