"I don't think its possible for anyone who has interviewed here to not put this program at the top of the ROL. Starting off, they put you up in the Sheraton, one of the best hotels I have stayed in on the trail. The dinner is very informal and the residents were very easy to talk to and made everyone feel comfortable. The interview schedule was pretty standard, 4 interviews with 4 faculty and one 5 min wrap-up session with the PD. Its actually the caliber of the faculty that's astounding. The PD is one of the authors of DSM5 and one of the faculty was one of the authors of DSM3. They have a university hospital, VA and community clinics. Lots of great research going on if you're into that. Iowa city is a college town and there's always something happening and you will always see people on the streets, even at 3 AM. This place is right at the top of my list and would be a dream come true to match here."

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
