As part of our effort to promote good health in our community, MedStar Health provides a range of professional care for behavioral and mental health issues, as well as addiction treatment services. We offer inpatient and outpatient services, as well as a partial hospitalization program to ensure that physicians, patients, and families can choose from among a range of flexible options to get the psychiatric care they need. MedStar Health is dedicated to a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care—psychiatrists and case managers work as a team with psychologists, social workers, clinical counselor, and psychiatric nurses to address all patient needs. We also make sure we work closely with each patient and all family members, as appropriate, to customize a treatment plan that may include counseling and psychological education, symptom management, supportive group therapy, expressive therapy, and medication education.
