Interview Experience

"Great program. Put you up in a really nice hotel in downtown Fort Worth if youre coming from out of town. Theres a dinner with the residents the night before. The residents seemed very happy with the program and were extremely fond of each other. All of them were in first name basis, even with the chiefs. Interview day was very relaxed and to the point. They dont keep you for hours and hours and they answer most of the awkward questions themselves (salary, vacation etc) as they know we cant approach these topics. Meeting with the PD (who is extremely welcoming), tour of the hospital and lunch with conference followed by an informal Q&A with the chiefs and ending with 4 interviews. This was the first program I interviewed at so I extremely nervous but the interviews were more conversational than anything. There are some different questions asked though on which they would like to know your opinion.Loved the program from top to bottom and would be amazing to match here."

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
