"Pros: - Home program! - Great reputation - Can accommodate Shabbos - In NYC - Strong research opportunities - I know a lot of the residents and attendings - I think I made a good impression on my interviews - Very strong didactics curriculum - Call q9 days - Cheap parking near the hospital - Can split up 1 week of vacation into individual days – good for yom tov - Days start at 8 (vs 7); even IR starts at 7:30 am - I have friends who will be in the program when I start (i.e., Avi Zians) - Larger resident class (7 DR and 2 IR) so will probably find my people - Living in riverdale would be nice and they have subsidized housing - No fully independent call - Great fellowship matches - Give you time to study for core exam in R3 Cons: - Kind of didn’t love being at Moses hospital during medical school – I don’t want to take a bad taste in my mouth to residency - Am I losing out by not going somewhere new? - Said they have a weaker trauma program - Start call in R1 - Start night float in R2 "

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
