"Excellent experience! The interview consisted of a meet and greet the night before followed by a half day of interview/hospital tour/meal. The department paid for one night of accommodations for me, which was greatly appreciated. The meet and greet was very laid back. The first person to talk to me was an attending surgeon and we talk about books we were currently reading. The residents were great to provide feed back on the program and to top it off, the food was great. The next day I was in the afternoon group. We started with a hospital tour with a resident, followed by a meal and ice breaker activity. After that was the interview with attending surgeons. Very laid back, we laughed and joked and the questioning was never the direct, generic questioning we all have come to expect."

"The night before, the residents did a Q&A for the interview candidates. The morning of, the program coordinator shared a little bit about the program while waiting for the Program Director to give a powerpoint presentation about the program. We then moved into a waiting room with the other candidates and had the chance to chat with each other and occasionally with the program coordinator. We interviewed with the PD, faculty and the program coordinator. "
